I noticed a minor bug when tinkering with custom comb filtering settings for the Legacy AV Adapter.

If you change to another input and then back to the adapter, it remains at default settings for the adapter unless a) one of the settings for the adapter is changed in which case all changed settings reapply, or b) a profile with custom settings for the adapter is loaded.

This happens with firmware 0.79 on the OSSC Pro and the v.1.4 RF version of the adapter.

I initially thought the chip might lose its configuration when placed into a sleep mode (upon change on another input), but I was not able to reproduce the issue. Does it happen with other settings like brightness, contrast etc as well?

Testing it a bit further, it only seems to affect the Y and C shaping filters. The chosen settings are listed correctly in the menu, but do not apply after switching to a different source and back, including switching between only the sources going into the ADV7280.

A simple way to observe it is to set the Y shaping filter to the SVHS 1 mode to get extremely low pass filtered luma and then cycle through YC/CVBS/RF. The ADV7280 may then revert to the default shaping filters until one either the Y or C filter setting is changed.

Found the issue and it’s now fixed. Expanded the filtering settings a bit at the same time according to how the chip handles automation.

@marqs Given the expanded options, is it possible to toggle CTI on/off? 🙂

Yes, I saw the request on the other thread and it’s been added too.
