Hello everyone:
I have an unusual configuration so bear with me: I have an N64, modded for YPbPr output via component, going through an HD Retrovision cable to the OSSC, then to an HDMI-to-VGA converter, and finally into my monitor. This setup works great when I use the SNES with the exact same cabling to the VGA montior, or use the N64 but route the HDMI from the OSSC into a TV instead of the VGA converter. So nothing in the chain is broken.
Problem is, for some reason when I send the N64 in particular into the VGA monitor, the colors are extremely washed out. As above I don’t have this issue with any other combination of console or screen- I imagine there’s some issue with the handshake between my modded N64’s signal and the conversion to VGA, but I don’t know enough about the various settings. What settings might I be able to tweak on the OSSC to help with this?
