      Hi,

I’m new to the OSSC – received it today. I have a SNES RGB connected without a problem but I have an issue with my modded Megadrive over RGB …

Approximately every 5 seconds I get a screen judder. Very strange behaviour. Is there something I’m missing re setup? Any guidance is welcome.

      Thanks
      Mark

Likely due to the off-spec refresh rate in your modded console, see https://videogameperfection.com/2012/06/22/what-causes-games-to-stutter/

Yes, was just looking, thanks. My modded Pal Megadrive is reporting 59.36hz.

I assume I would need a different Megadrive (Japanese) then to get this to sync properly?

You could use a different Megadrive, or mod your existing one to NTSC timings, or alternatively fit a Dual Frequency Oscillator that will give correct timings for both PAL and NTSC, although I’ve been having trouble getting a new batch of these made up.

Modding the console to NTSC timings is probably the cheapest way, we could almost certainly do that for you, I just need to find the parts.
