      Hi All,

I recently picked up an OSSC 1.6 last month. I have thrown various consoles at it via SCART (Sega Genesis, Saturn) and VGA (Sega Dreamcast), Last week I figured I throw some component based consoles (Sony PS2, Microsoft Xbox) at it and I cant seem to get sound though the OSSC. I have tested my RCA to mini jack cable and it is functioning as expected and sound is coming from the console though the cable, but the OSSC doesn’t seem to be sending this though the HDMI cable.

The other inputs (RGBS and RGBHV) on the OSSC seem to have no issues with audio. It just works 🙂

I see that the audio jack for input 2 audio is dual purpose and also serves as audio out for RGBS and this also appears to be working (tested with Sega Genesis hooked up via SCART and plugging in powered portable speaker).

Is there any trick to getting this jack to flip roles from being an output for input 1 to being an input for input 2? (I apologize for the rough wording)

I am running firmware that was shipped with the OSSC, FW .78a

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks in advance.
      James

So the problem is that the OSSC 1.6 ships (at least mine did) with that jack configured as audio-out for AV1, and you need to flip the little switch next to it to get it to act as audio-in for AV2. It’s a bit of a pain to reach (I used a butter knife), but you only have to flip it once.
