      No no, the cable I already have is a PS2 cable with no capacitors. I ordered this one to go with the PS1 🙂 I am not sure why she uses higher uf caps, but if it becomes a problem, I probably have some around I can swap in.

        Oh, my mistake. Then yeah, use the cap-less cable for your PS2 and order one with 220uF caps for your PS1. 🙂

        As I understand it, Retro Access uses 1000uF caps as a sort of happy medium between no caps and 220uF caps so that one cable can be used on both the PS1 and PS2. I am not an electrical engineer, so I have no idea how higher-Farad caps could be appropriate.
