Hello everyone,
I’ve had an OSSC for some time now and it works well with all my old consoles apart from the Atari Jaguar. Fortunately I have access to a CRT. I’ve just bought a NTSC Samsung DVD-N501 Nuon DVD Player, and the sound on my LG OLED television is fine apart from a buzzing noise but I’m getting a purple and green display! I’m using a component cable between the DVD Player and the OSSC.
Any help would be appreciated.
Geoff
I resolved the problem with the colour. I had accidentally plugged the blue and green cables into the wrong sockets on the DVD player!! However, I now have a weird issue. The Intro on a DVD will play, including a trailer on one for Fox DVDs, but when I get to the point of playing the movie I get “Video is not available. Disc may be damaged”. This is happening on all four of the NTSC DVDs I have. I even tried connecting the DVD player to my CRT and get exactly the same error, so it’s clearly a problem with the DVD player. Does anyone have any suggestions.
