Hi, I’m a new owner of the OSSC, very pleased by its performance so far, I have a tad bit of issue with it though with my Samsung Q7FN.
      Line2x – works flawless.
Line3x & 4x – No signal (couldnt care less since im getting a signal from 5x).
Line5x – Good signal, clear picture, issue lies within its cutting the top & bottom of the screen. Anyone have a solution for this, or should I just give up, there’s no fix and enjoy 2x for what it is? Seen some youtube vids where people are getting a good resolution on Q8FN, so i’m hoping there’s just some setting within the OSSC I need to tinker with.

You can change the line5x format in the output settings. By default its 1920×1080 which results in a few lines at the top and bottom to be cut off as you noticed. The other two modes will give you a smaller but full picture and then you can use your TV settings to fill the screen more if you want.

        Edit: corrected wrong terms used

          By default its 1200×1080

This should be 1920×1080, with options for 1600×1200 and 1920×1200.

Checked the Line5x mode settings, they seem the same when switching around (except some small jittering bugs when using “320×240 optim” and “256×240 optim”), and I cant really zoom out more than 0 (if that makes sense). Also been trying different aspect ratios on the PS2 console settings with no luck.

To be fair, he asked me to check Line5x mode settings (the generic aspect ratios, I guess). On the “Line5x format” setting you are correct though with the 1920×1080, 1600×1200 (no signal) and 1920×1200 (no signal).

Yeah, I’m sorry I used the wrong terms before. Do you get a signal with the other two line5x formats using other consoles? That would indicate whether the display may be incompatible or not with those resolutions.

Dont have any other console at the moment except a ps1, which im going to guess is going to give the same signal output. I’ll see if I can dig up my old mega drive at my parents house tomorrow!

                Cheers!
