I was wondering if theres any plans to fully open source the OSSC Pro PCB’s ? I built a few OSSC’s a few years back and would be keen to try building a Pro at some point.

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, didnt see anything after a quick look around but may have missed it

I don’t think there are plans. And even if there were: there are at least two BGAs to solder… with the Cyclone V being a BGA256, which is a pain in the ass to solder without (semi)professional equipment.

You can find the open version here with description of the design status in README.

Thanks I did see that, but the readme says “Placement of the components and routing are incomplete”

I can solder and build components but my skills arent up to completing the design

I was just wondering if the complete design will ever be open sourced.

Already have a preheater and hot air station. (I repair electronics as a bit of a hobby)

The production version is not made with Kicad, thus it takes real effort to complete placement & routing of FOSS version of the PCB. It’s bound to happen at some point, but the priority is low at the moment.
