Hello. I recently received a OSSC Pro, hoping to replace my original OSSC with something with more options. But the Pro does not appear to be filtering out video noise nearly as well. I have tried various settings, cables, and even power outlets, but cannot achieve similar levels of quality between the two devices even in identical scenarios. Using the original OSSC to digitize the signal, then running that to the Pro, produces the best results, but adds additional complexity that is awkward to deal with.

I recorded some footage to demonstrate what I am seeing, along with a description of the setup and consoles involved.

      Thank you for your time

Perplexing. The OSSC Pro’s on-chip low pass filter is considered better and more flexible than the classics so really you should be seeing the exact opposite here.

Have you tried running the tests using the PSU from your OSSC Classic with your OSSC Pro?

I didn’t try using the original OSSC PSU because the product page said it wasn’t recommended, but I just tested it and the results are identical.

OSSC Classic uses external LPF chip which presumably has higher order filter. In some cases that might result to smoother picture, but in general ADC section in Pro should result to superior image

Are there any steps I could be taking to bring the Pro’s output more in line with the Classic’s?
