Hi all,
I just recently got my OSSC Pro and was testing it practically all day. I’m liking it a lot so far on first impressions but I discovered a slight problem.
From what I understand from the manual, the Wiki, and Wobbling Pixels’ in depth video about it, turning off Scaler mode’s framelock is supposed to prevent signal loss at the cost of increasing input latency. I have turned it off but it seems to still be losing signal.
What I’m finding is that it’s handling resolution swaps about the same as both the Line Multiplier modes. I have no idea why, if it’s just the current way things are, or if I did something wrong. It seems to happen regardless of what off settings I use regarding framelock off. Source Hz, 60hz, whatever.
I have a recording here that was captured from my EVGA XR1 Lite capture card showing it in Sonic 2. I tested it out with my Model 2 JP SEGA Saturn as well to see if it persisted elsewhere and it was unfortunately confirmed to not just be my Genesis. The results are the same regardless if I use my capture card or directly input it into my monitor. I have yet to test it on any TV in my home to see if the problem is exclusive to my monitor.
Here is everything I used and I hope I had enough time for anyone to scrub through the video and see my settings. I am using the included PSU that came with it when I bought it and my OSSC Pro was updated to the latest firmware at the time of recording this clip. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you!

Jojo Royce. Reason: First post and title wasn't clear enough about problem. Deep apologies
September 19, 2024 at 9:08 AM #63303You need to disable frame lock. Set it to Off (50Hz) for PAL or Off (60Hz) for NTSC.
September 19, 2024 at 9:40 AM #63304I did, I thought I mentioned that in the first post but it seems I didn’t. Oops, I forgot to mention it, very sorry. ^^”
You can see at 23 seconds in to the video that I set the framelock to Off (60 hz), but the problem is still occurring. It seems to latch on to the signal at first before immediately then dropping it.

September 19, 2024 at 8:26 PM #63315Are you using non-integer scale and auto aspect ratio?
September 19, 2024 at 9:13 PM #63316@marqs I have the scaling algorithm set to Integer (Overscan) and Aspect Ratio set to 4:3.
September 19, 2024 at 9:22 PM #63317Try selecting another scaling algo, integer is currently not guaranteed to produce non-interrupted switching.
September 19, 2024 at 9:36 PM #63318@marqs Yep, as soon as I swapped to Nearest, the switching is now instantaneous. Since you said “currently”, will this be possibly addressed in a future firmware update? Also thank you for the assistance!
