Most older consoles has an aspect ratio slightly narrower than 4:3. E.g. PS1 is 1.219 (if viewing a game that utilizes the full visible space, with no overscan). This would then be cropped by the overscan of the CRT. If it’s different between x3, x4 & x5 (in 1600×1200), then it’s something with the scaling on your display. Edit: ignore, forgot that x5 uses different base for sampling rate
Oh right, x5 doesn’t use the same default horizontal scale. I forgot about that, sorry. Sample rate can be set to 1950 instead, should be more accurate. Or you can keep the sample rate at 2046 and increase h.active to 1678 (if your display allows).
Is there an overlay I could use that would allow me to properly center this picture in OBS? I eyeballed it but I’d like to be accurate since I’m recording for some projects I’m working on. The picture looks great now and I can center it myself, but I don’t want to waste hours recording something and then find out my frame wasn’t centered.
