      Hello.
I’m having a problem with plugging PS2 slim Pal by Component YPbPr through OSSC.
      I set the options: Output opt – 480i / 576i proc – Passthru.
I am pleased with the quality of the image but there is a problem on each side of the screen a black band of about 5 cm is formed. When connected to a straight line in TV, there are no problems with the black border, but the picture is worse.
For Sega Mega Drive NTSC-J, the problem is solved by setting: Output opt – Line2x – 320×240

I ask you to prompt the settings to remove the black frame from the image.

I don’t know much bout ps2 tbh, could you post a picture?
One possibility is to change h.active to 704 or even 640.
If there are black areas above and below the picture, you can also reduce v.active. (In both cases, backporch will need to be increased to compensate).
It’s possible your screen will not accept changes to active area like that though.

That’s how it looks to me.
It was possible to change h.active and to expand a picture. But with v.active regulation, the picture first shakes later disappears altogether. As a result, after h.active the black thick line from below remains even in 60 Hz.

Since the aspect ratio looks fine to me, probably easiest way to fix it is actually to use zoom or overscan control on your TV.
