      Hi All,

I’m interested in buying a retrotink mini for my composite cable systems so for now, I’ve been on the market for a entry-level scaler which can convert my consoles from 6th gen (GCN, PS2, etc) and previous gens which all use composite cables.

I don’t need amazing top of the market quality but what I need is just something better than the generic AV to HDMI converters on amazon cause I heard those have ridiculous lag.

I guess the main question is, does this work with all composite compatible retro systems (anything from NES to Wii)? I understand this works as a line doubler. So 240p inputs get upgraded to 480p output. Does that mean systems like the GCN and Wii will have zero change at all since the native output is already 480p? A little confused, thanks in advance.

Yes RetroTINK mini can do this, you will get a lot better picture using s-video but if you just need composite to start you off (or if composite is your only option, e.g on NES) then it’s ideal.

You can’t get 480p from a Wii or Gamecube using composite, you have to use component cables for that.
