In case a anyone was thinking of getting one of these compact little HDMI to SCART adapters to use with the OSSC Pro, maybe don’t, I can’t get mine to recognise _any_ output from the OSSC Pro whereas my HDFury3 deals with it just fine.  This is a real shame as its a super compact little adapter and the quality from it when feeding it with a signal from ReplayOS on my Rpi5 is excellent.

Anyone else already tried and found a way to make it work perchance?

Are you meaning this adapter? https://retrorgb.com/rgb-pi-2-tested-sync-video-issues.html

You can try setting the OSSC Pro into DVI output mode (means losing sound) but I’d avoid that one based on that RetroRGB review.

The best DAC is still the HD Fury 2 by a long way, if you can find one.

The newer revision of the RGBPi2 adaptor supposedly fixes some/all of the issues RRGB called out, but I tried feeding the output from an assortment of devices at 240p, 480i and 480p and I either got no image at all, or rolling sync.  My assumption is that it is somehow deliberately designed to only work with ReplayOS, which is a real shame.

I’ve got a couple of HDFury 2 devices, both the dongle itself and the integrated cable solutions. I was hoping this adapter would give me a tidier solution than my current HDFury3 + VGA2SCART solution but it looks like I’ll be sticking with it for a while longer.

That is unfortunate. I’d like to get my hands on the Reflex Prism DAC for some testing, as that offers a direct SCART output. I wonder if it could deal not only with OSSC Pro but also the direct output modes from the RetroGEM boards, some of which trip up most DACs.
