Tagged: internal lcd screen laptop
I’m permanently integrating an OSSC into a hardware project (an old laptop) and in order to make the board fit, I need to remove the LCD screen. I hope eventually to relocate the screen behind one of the doors on the bottom of the laptop, just in case the OSD becomes deactivated. But until I’ve got the final placement of the board and screen completed, it will be simpler just to run the OSSC screenless. Before I risk my brand new OSSC board this way, can anyone confirm for me that there is no risk to the hardware in running it without the LCD screen?
I am competent with a soldering iron, so I have no concerns about the physical task of detaching and reattaching. I’d just like confirmation that there is no technical/design reason that this would cause problems.
Thanks!
