The DC has always had that famous aspect ratio problem which the OSSC fixes cleverly. I have noticed, but have never been able to find any further corroboration on the net, that the Saturn has this too. The blue spherical logo always looks oval; would there be a similar solution a la Dreamcast that could be provided by the OSSC I wonder?
It’s possible to tweak active (=drawn) area size after advanced timing tweaker is implemented, but not all displays will support the resulting modes.
Is that something I can do with settings now? Or something you would need to add to a firmware update?
Thanks for answering ☺
Well he said after it’s implemented so naturally you can’t do this now. In this video from blizzz sonic on saturn has the correct aspect ratio. https://youtu.be/tdn0dMlGrkw?t=53s Maybe Sega just messed up with the logo?
Didn’t quite pick up on that. About the AR, I have also noted the squash on the media player UI and in Darius when you fire the circular bomb. They always seem oval in shape.
