      Hello, guys,

I’m very interested in getting the OSSC Pro and I would like to ask some questions regarding specific aspects of the device.

      – Does the RF input support signals from different regions? I have held off from purchasing pre-composite systems for many years in expectance of a converter/scaler that could properly handle such signals and, since I have been extremely happy with the basic OSSC, it seems the OSSC Pro might be the solution. The main target systems in this regard are the original PC Engine and the Atari 2600.

      – I’m in Europe and plan on using the OSSC Pro for simultaneous output to a capture card and to my PAL CRT, can both the “AV out” and “Extra AV input” modules be used at the same time? From the pictures, I’m guessing this is not the case and I will have to split the HDMI output and convert it to analog video with a different hardware solution.

      – I see that the RF input is out of stock and, after having read some posts, it seems that this has to do with not wanting to release the product until image quality is fully worked out.

      And, finally:

      – I already have a basic OSSC with the remote and power supply (as well as a RetroTink 2X with the powersupply), do any of these work with the OSSC or would I need to get ones specifically made for the Pro?

Due to already having both the basic OSSC and the Tink 2X, I would only get the Pro once I can get my hands on the RF input module, how is its development going?

      Cheers.

The RF input does support different regions yes. I think it’s only SECAM that’s not supported.

No, you can only use one or the other of the expansion cards at the same time.

No you can’t use the PSU from OSSC classic or RetroTINK although these are the same voltage they don’t output enough amps. The remote can be re-used if you don’t mind losing some of the OSSC Pro specific buttons.

As for the RF version it looks like maybe bundling it with a high quality (2x shielded) RF cable might be enough to clear up the interference so it could still happen.

Many thanks for the quick reply.

I’ll keep checking the store listing on a regular basis for availability of the RF module.
