Hi there, we are delighted to be on the list for the OSSC 1.6 – my ultimate plan is to use it to get the perfect picture on all of my retro consoles, which I will then capture and use to make Let’s Plays and playthroughs of some obscure retro games and such off my telly. I don’t have a laptop good enough to do this with emulators etc, so I thought doing it directly from the television would be more fun.
Since you work in this area I’m just wondering if you have a video capture card that you (or anyone else on this forum) would recommend to accomplish this specifically??
Our Irish telly has the full complement of inputs and outputs, if that’s a consideration.
Thanks!
Oh if the consoles matter I’m hoping to make videos with the full complement of 90s and very early 00s consoles including SNES, MegaDrive, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube and Psone / PS2.
I don’t currently have any additional or special kit, other than being included in the next batch of OSSCs, so if anyone else has tried this and has any further advice that’d be great. I’m very excited but very new to all of this!
Hey Jendamcglynn,
There’s actually a thread dedicated to which capture cards work well with the OSSC here:- https://videogameperfection.com/forums/topic/capture-card-compatibility-report-thread/
…..search before you post! Thank you!!
