Hi guys, been looking through the TV compatability thread but I’m still none the wiser.
I’m looking to replace my W6 Sony with something more OSSC friendly. My requirements are as follows:
LX3 compatable with everything inc 50hz pal, snes etc.
Good 480p scaling (the Sony is great at this)
Low lag
Up to 48” (no space for anything bigger)
Decent motion handling (the Sony is pretty smeary compared to newer LCDs)
Anybody got any recommendations? This will be purely a gaming TV so movies, HDR, etc are not important.
Line 4x/5x support a bonus but not essential
OSSC is driving TV sales 🙂
I’ve specifically gone and purchased a used 2010 LG 42″ that has the required resolutions (42LH35) just for the OSSC. Cant wait to make sure it works!
If you look at the TV compatibility thread, LGs seem to have one of the highest compatibility with 3x/4x/5x modes plus SNES
It really is! I’d love an OLED for its compatability and motion handling but don’t have either the space in my games room or the required £1800 ?
Looking at the Sony XE70 series but can’t find anybody who’s tried one?
