Will the Rondo HD15-2-SCART work for downscaling?

My understanding with downscaling via the OSSC pro is that the scart adapter needs to have both a sync combiner, and a resistor on the sync line to lower the voltage. I believe this Rondo product does both, but again I’m new to this and don’t want to fry anything. So will this work?

I realize that VGP sells the AV Input/Output Adapter v1.3 for this purpose, but the Rondo adapter seems like a more elegant solution, in that comes with a shell and would eliminate the need to buy another scart cable.

I don’t see anything on the product page that says that device provides RGB blanking / activation voltage that classic CRTs usually need so, I’m afraid it might not work for that purpose.

Im probably mistaken but is the RGB blanking/activation a Euro thing? Im in the US with an rgb modded set.

Yes its part of the EuroSCART specification and is required on most TVs sold in Europe. That adapter might work in your case then.

You don’t need a sync combiner btw (though having one should not matter) for the extra AV out as you can toggle composite or separate sync output from the menus on the OSSC Pro.
