Thanks, that seems to be working.
I had tried it originally, but choosing it from settings doesn’t seem to apply it. I chose it from settings this time, then loaded a saved profile and it applied that option. Not sure if that is a bug or not.
I’ve saved it in my profile and its remembering the setting across power cycles now.
I’m running into sync issues with my PVM 14L5 with .81 update and the legacy AV out. I use YPbPr out (I also tried RGsB, similar issue), and over like 30 seconds the screen slowly turns a pink hue. I’ve seen this when I first got my Mister connected to it, I had to change some sync settings in it (I forget what they were) to stop it from happening. If I toggle external sync on and then back off, the colors are back to normal and then slowly turn pink again.
I rolled back to .80 and the issue has gone away.
Is this possibly related to “Csync output AND-type implementation added as default” in the release notes?
I currently set my PC to 480×360 and send that to the OSSC Pro and put it into scaling mode. It looks almost perfect except you get some slight shimmer when things move vertically. Most of the game ends up being side scrolling so its not terrible and the curve + non perfect geometry on my CRT masks it a bit. Its much better than running the game at 1080p and using scaling mode in terms of the shimmer but its still not perfect. Smaller text gets hard to read but otherwise the pixel artwork looks good.
I just took a video of my 480×360 in scaler mode on the OSSC Pro connected to my PVM, and then the game running at 4k with its built in CRT filter. I’m terrible at taking CRT videos so there is a bit of flashing on the screen but you can see the game art looks pretty good except when moving vertical.
