After getting the hdcp stripper, yeah, it’s working at 1080 just fine. I even tried the 360 through the stripper and got nothing at any res lol
Here, I made a video to show you. Sometimes when trying, the screen will flicker, but usually it stays blank. This is all in pure line mode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAyz96QmUPk
0.70 update: it fixed my audio problem with hdr, but I don’t have the chance to test direct-to-tv audio quite yet. 1080p on my 360 still doesn’t work.
I bought a cheap hdcp stripper off amazon and that solved the problem with my ps3! Looks glorious in hdr. This is the one I bought, so if anyone else comes across this problem, I CAN confirm that this one works for the ps3: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TZRXKYG
On a hunch, I tried running the 360 through the stripper and it didn’t give me any picture at all lol. Oh well. 720 ain’t so bad on 360, especially running through the ossc, but I’m pretty stoked the ps3’s working now with that hdcp stripper.
Glad to report that after 0.70, it’s indeed fixed on my end. Thank you!
Yeah, I also upgraded from the ossc classic (first edition, with only dvi out lol). In that setup I ran audio separately though to an avr, so with the pro i was like ‘ohey, i can do audio now’ and my tv was like NOPE lol
Yeah, no audio directly from the ossc to the tv, regardless of the hdr toggle being on or off. The switch and wii u are working just fine through the pro, at 1080p. It’s just the 360 that isn’t. When the hdcp stripper arrives, I can check on the ps3 and let you know, but the nintendo stuff is working fine through the pro. Nothing has direct audio at all though, I only get sound from the pro running directly into my avr, no matter the source. Scart, component, or hdmi.
I didn’t know about the HDCP thing until someone got back to me on facebook about it, so I ordered a device that should be able to do that for the ps3. For the 360, I set the pixel de-repetition to 2 and it made the image all pixelated and low res looking despite still being 720p. 1080 still doesn’t work. This is going from the ossc to the avr, an onkyo tx-nr6100, because for some reason I can’t get any sound from the ossc directly connected to the tv (LG C1 oled). I tried connecting the ossc back to the tv just to see, and the tv just kept saying ‘invalid format’ when trying to do 1080p, regardless of the pixel de-repetition setting
Sweet, thank you!
