I didn’t know that option was there, yes, the PS4 works on 0.78 with HDCP toggled off. So it seems the only thing that has changed is that HDMI switch no longer works as an HDCP stripper on the later firmwares.

I guess I’ll have to source a new device to strip out the HDCP.

The Kinivo 550BN is also my HDCP stripper so I couldn’t test PS3/Vita directly into the OSSC Pro. However the HDMI switch is not the issue, as the PS4 behaves the same way on 0.78 whether it’s through the switch or directly into AV4.

I got one detail wrong, PS3/Vita are black screens with no apparent problem on the front OLED. The 480p PS4 alternates (every second or so) between showing the sync info and “free-run” and the red LED is flashing during this.

One last edit, the MiSTer FPGA’s digital output is working for me on 0.78. (Using Scaler Mode 720×480@31Khz) But that’s every input I have going into it at the moment. So to summarize, I have 3 Sony consoles that don’t work on 0.78 that do work on 0.76, and MiSTer FPGA + my HDMI switch appear to work on every firmware. Sorry, should have checked everything before posting.

I have an HDMI auto switcher plugged into AV4 on the OSSC Pro. (specifically it’s a Kinivo 550BN) Plugged into that auto switcher is a PS4 (set to only output 480p), a PS3 and a PS Vita TV. I use the OSSC Pro both to line decimate the PS4 to 240p, or upscale the PS3/Vita from 720p to 1080p and for both of these use cases it was nothing but black screens on 0.77 and 0.78. As I write this I realize I should have tried taking the autoswitcher out of the video chain before making my first post. I’ll try to do that this week and report back.

I’ve had some real problems with the latest firmware. When using 0.78 or 0.77, only the test pattern properly gets sent to my displays. I can navigate the OSD just fine on a 15khz CRT or on a 1080p LCD panel, but the actual video from AV4 does not get passed through even though the OSSC Pro’s display appears to be correctly identifying the signal. It’s just a black screen.

I had to roll back to 0.76 in order to use the scaler again (I believe this was the fw it shipped with). Am I doing something wrong? Or perhaps this is a known issue that will be fixed in 0.79.
