It’s very strange, it was making the buzzing with just the power plug and headphones.

I seemed to have fixed it by taking apart the OSSC and giving the board a good clean with IPA. It still makes a buzzing noise when the HDMI cable isn’t plugged in, but once I do plug it in the buzz seems to vanish completely now. Hopefully it doesn’t come back!

Hopefully its just my cable as well thats causing it rather than the SFC or OSSC itself having problems. I’m getting another 1chip in the mail soon so I’ll mod that and see if that narrows down what’s causing it! 🙂

            Thanks again!

I can get rid of 90% of the problem by setting the ALC V filter all the way down to 1. There’s still a little bit left at the part closest to the game image on the bottom. Its a flickery line that goes from the center of the screen to the right and its the first row right under the game window, it looks to be 1 pixel tall. I don’t notice any flicker in the game itself thankfully!

Thank you so much for the help! 🙂 Do you have any inkling as to what may have caused the black level to be increased? Could it be indicative of some kind of problem? For what’s its worth, the issue appears as a red noise on my PS2, and was also red on my SNES to begin with, but after I redid my RGB bypass it changed from red to the white I posted in those pictures.

I’ve tried reducing the pre-ADC gain and it doesn’t fix the problem unfortunately. Forgive me if i’m missing something simple but I can’t find the ALC V filter settings anywhere. I found the setting on the junkerhq site but It doesn’t seem to be on my OSSC. I’m pretty sure i’m on the latest firmware as I updated it a few months ago.

                        Im using RGB over SCART.

I’m playing the Japanese version on a JP PS2. I did manage to fiddle with the sampling settings for generic 4:3 to get a near enough 4:3, but I doubt the pixels are perfectly square.

Unfortunately that seems to give me a jittery image as well, I wonder if the monitor im using is having compatibility problems with the OSSC :/
                            Thanks for your help though!

Is there a way to stretch out the generic 4:3 mode so it appears as actual 4:3 on the OSSC? My TV doesn’t have any options for scaling unfortunately. EDIT: I can’t seem to get rid of the jittery even outside of the menu 🙁

Oh dear… I was using that screen. Thanks for letting me know!!! Is it possible then to have sharp pixels across the board?

The game im using to test is FF7, which according to here (http://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php?title=Optimal_timings) is 320×240. I can tell its too skinny because I checked it with my PSN version on PS3 (and also because I measured it with a ruler! :P). I can get the pixels to look sharp in some areas of the screen when I change the sampling phase, but the regions of jittery pixels just move around.
