Were you using scart cables? I’m having the same issue
I’m trying a microSD HC card and it says, card not detected. Already formatted the card on fat32, also wrote the image using Win32disk imager. No luck, I guess I need to try a different SDcard.
Can anybody confirm if microSD HC cards work?
Hi marqs, thanks for the tip. I looked at the components around the BTN1 and turns out I had soldered SD05-7 at D4 on the wrong polarity. After I fixed that the OSSC started to power up properly without prompting the RC setup. BTN1 still doesn’t seem to do anything when I press it but BTN2 started working. However, I don’t care about the buttons now that the remote works properly.
The only thing left to fix is the SDcard port, it keeps saying there’s no sdcard on the slot, I already tried 2 different cards and nothing changes. I don’t really know how to test continuity for this. Maybe I messed up the component? I can order another one to see if that’s the case.
I saved a profile but it’s still asking me to setup the remote every time I turn it on.
marqs, where are the remote settings saved? is it on sdcard? if yes, then I’m in trouble, like I said, the SDport is not recognizing any cards
Hi marqs, thanks for helping out, really appreciated.
– When you say “save settings” you mean saving profile settings? Or there’s another way to save settings?
– How do I verify connectivity between the SDcard port and the FPGA?
You can safely replace the IRM-V5XX_TR1 with a TSOP31338. I tried it and it works well. The pinout is different, so, make sure to read the datasheet.
Thanks to a suggestion from marqs
I figured it out. It was just the remote wizard. I found an old remote I had and went through the wizard. Now it shows:
OSSC fw. 0.81a
2014 – 2018 marqsmarqs what’s the latest firmware version and where do I check for firmware updates?
Regards
I soldered the TSOP31338 powered the OSSC, the green LED light up and the LCD display now says “Press 1” I pressed button 1 but nothing happens.
I think that’s not the expected behavior, I saw some videos and what should show up is “OSSC 1.6 …”
Does that mean my OSSC is not programmed?Hi marqs, do you think this TSOP31338 would work on the OSSC? I mean is it just a matter of soldering it to the board? or I’d have to reprogram something?
