Have the capacitors in your 3DO console professionally renewed/replaced by an experienced electrical engineer. Note – The customer must supply the relevant capacitor kit with his/her console. We recommend Console 5 cap kits.

A capacitor is an electrical component that stores electrical energy. In older machines, these components can wear out and sometimes leak, in some instances leaking corrosive fluids onto the motherboard. If you see signs of capacitors bulging or starting to leak on the consoles motherboard, we recommend getting them replaced as soon as possible.

Note that replacing capacitors is time consuming and is not guaranteed to improve or fix any issues you are having with your classic hardware. We recommend purchasing this service only if you believe the capacitors on your 3DO are starting to degrade. If you decide to replace the capacitors in your console, please understand we cannot give refunds after the service is carried out, even if replacing the capacitors does not have the desired effect.
