New XRGB model coming 2012

I’ve been following very closely the progress of the new XRGB Mini Frame Meister. This is a new upscaling device from Micomsoft, makers of the XRGB3 and the only company that makes videoprocessors aimed directly at gamers rather than videophiles.

The device comes in a smaller form factor than the current XRGB3 series and is promised to have scanline support and be more compatible than the finicky XRGB3. It was originally due out in 2011 and the hardware is apparently finalised, but several remaining bugs in the firmware have prevented a 2011 launch.

If cashflow permits, I’ll get my hands on one of these boxes when they become generally available and let you know what I think.
