If your board is faulty then I’m happy to exchange it for you, but there’s no way to test for this without actually installing it that I’m aware of.

BuckoA51 thankyou for that, but yes you would need to install to test (or probe the entire thing with multimeter and a schematic) ! Its fine I got it going in the end and the person who owns that 3BP’d MD2 is very pleased with it.

cool forum, thanks for the replies everyone

I ended up firing up my hot air gun and re-flowed ALL the solders on the whole 3BP PCB – and it was fixed.
ALso thanks for VGP for not properly testing the board which must have had a bad solder somewhere

etim.net.au now sells a SCARTMUX I just bought one, 4 in and 2 out – auto switching. works a treat. does some extra stuff like sync stripping etc.

if you really want to install it on the back all neat and tidy like u see on twitter, then desolder all that solder and remove the capacitor. you can put the cap back later if you want. there are lots of good guides (just try google images) for installing on the back. it looks great when done well 🙂 you can also follow the megaamp v2 instructions for installing the audio part.

nothing wrong with installing it on the top. once its installed you will never see it again anyway !
