Update made my capture card compatible with 240p linex4 and 480p linex2. That’s awesome! But…. it made it not compatible with 480i passthrough 🙁 It doesn’t say no signal like it normally would if it wasn’t registering it, it just shows a black screen. Kinda need this to work, guess I have to revert back to 7.7

Edit: Seems that reverting back to 7.7 doesn’t fix this issue. Normally switching to HDMI TX mode would make it work, but now it’s just a black screen.

Try switching the HDMI/DVI setting under output. That worked for me.

I have had the exact same issue using x2. I have switched to only using Passthrough as to me it looks about the same and has no screen wobble. You could also use something like GSM or Xploder to boot into 480p where you can do x2 without the wobble.

Startech USB3HDCap is what I use.

Works on line x3 for SNES, N64, Playstation
              Passthrough on PS2, Wii
And HDMI sources like PS4, PS3, Switch.

I haven’t tested it with the other consoles you listed, but I’m sure it will work.

              – I use it with OBS on the PC. Not sure if it’s for Mac aswell as I haven’t checked.

After the .77 update, when I turn TX mode to HMDMI, I no longer have an issue with 480i Passthrough. :D!

                  Startech USB3HDCap

Works great for me with Snes using OBS.

Got in my new PS2. Xploader and GSM are super wonky. While it works for now so I can capture, I’m hoping maybe this issue gets fixed eventually.

I have a new PS2 coming in the mail as mine was too new to use FreeMCBoot. Going to just boot my games into 480p using that and hopefully it works fine. Otherwise, I have not been able to solve the issue.

                        It does support it

It also works fine if I just connect it via the component adapter that it came with, but obviously not upscaled.

                          Amazon Link
Something like that should do just fine.
Just convert it to a stereo jack with that and plug that into your speakers.

^ Was exactly how I got mine to work. I just kept hitting update then it worked.

Have you tried using another internet browser? Also, have you tried to right click and copy the link? When I do that and paste it, it will tell me my number.

I’m not really sure how well I can help you with that as I’m not super knowledgeable as to how these things work. I tried plugging in an S-Video Snes connection to my Elgato. It registers it as either 480i or you can use a setting to convert it to 480p (Which when capturing looks much nicer). Same with Composite although it looks rubbish either way with Composite. I cannot capture true 240p with the Elgato HD. Although, I don’t capture much for 240p sources anyway. The extent of what I intend to upscale with the OSSC are Snes, N64 (Both RGB modded), PS2 (For PS2 and PS1 games), and Wii (For Wii and Gamecube games). This will only be using either Scart input or Component input. While, I’m not very knowledgeable on this subject I’m pretty sure everything I intend to use it for is already 480i or higher?

When dealing with 240p source material with the Elgato, I used the 480p option, sent it to my Avermedia, and then captured it just how it came out from that.

Sorry if I am unable to answer that question.

Also, if I was wrong about something (Which I probably was), please correct me as I hardly know what I’m talking about.

I have an Elgato HD, Roxio HD Pro, and an internal Avermedia Live Gamer HD I can test when I get a unit, which should be in the next batch. I know previously with the Avermedia, I would have to go through my Elgato for 240p and my Roxio for 480 to get the Avermedia to register the content. We’ll see what changes with the OSSC.
