It seems like alot of people are currently having issues with the ps2 post 0.90
Myself included.
I had a feeling this would be the only solution. Thanks for responding.
Really hoping to get my hands on an ossc pro ASAP
4:3 generic works just fine, the problem is the image is soft even at 5x.
I tried setting 490 for 384 but there is no image then. I also tried the other numbers you gave me but the image still has that same appearance.
i kind of got the 256 one working, but unfortunately these game use multple resolutions in the 240p range so it’s looking like i might be forced to use generic

January 23, 2021 at 12:41 AM in reply to: Fixing aspect ratio outside of generic 4:3 line 3x? #44642It’s not just my snes tbh that has that on line 3X, i try to avoid using 3x when possible because it seems to have vertical banding on everything in 3x generic.
and it’s the only mode/situation that it appears in.
Guess something is wrong with my OSSC then.Alright, i’ll bookmark that page. thanks
this one seemed nice, but i guess not. Any reccomendations?
Ok thanks again man, you’re always very helpful and I appreciate it.
Thanks alot for your resopnse Nmalinoski, it’s very informative and this is the kind of information I was looking for. Yes on shmumps I had some explanations about things, but nothing as informative as this, and also this thread here was to see if there were other distributors available just out of curiosity since this website is european technically. Shmups seems to have alot more north american people.
So you’re saying I wouldn’t need the Csync cable it would have absolutely 0 benifit? I thought that the Csync cables cleaned up noise in flat color areas compared to the luma cables?
OH one last question, you’re saying that the ps1 would send out rgb over the component cable without sync. On my PS1 that is arriving it is the scph-1001 the first ps1, that has the additional connectors for audio and composite video. Theoretically would the extra composite video output be able to be used as sync? (i really doubt i would try this, but I’d like to know out of curiosity)
August 31, 2019 at 4:19 PM in reply to: SNES + OSSC FW 0.83 + De-jitter mod: sync keeps dropping #27752uping my vth to 191 after about 2hrs 30 mins no drop out.
Not sure if it’s resolved. But could having to up vth mean that my cable isn’t the greatest quality?
August 30, 2019 at 4:15 PM in reply to: SNES + OSSC FW 0.83 + De-jitter mod: sync keeps dropping #27744on Junker it says that it should be adjusted as last resort, what would the other options be to try first?
also do any of these options add latency?oh wow, this might fix the problem i’m having
From what I’ve understood I can not run the PS1 240p suite on the ps2 even with the component cable because of it’s dirty image, correct?
August 29, 2019 at 5:35 PM in reply to: SNES + OSSC FW 0.83 + De-jitter mod: sync keeps dropping #27733I on my SNES with Final Fantasy mystic quest I get a split second drop out once every 3 hours or so, you think this setting could alliviate for that me as well?
Can you tell me the setting how they should be in OSSC? Afterward i can compare it to the math and such to figure it out.
This is messing with my head haha.I’ve tried messing with everything any there is still jitter or blurring.
So if you can just tell me in simple terms what settings to what value i’d appreciate it. because then i can determine what you meant and learn how it works from thereI checked the post, but i don’t understand exactly which part i should do, and what the idea behind it is.
Could you please help me out alittl more, thanks
if i could get this fixed that would be great, because the optimized mode has jittery pixels and it’s a bit blurry, generic 4:3 or any other mode is wayyyyy clearer
