Hello all, hope you are doing well,

Just a quick update, i’ve bought a new harness and another rgb scart cable and there’s still no sync with the OSSC, it’s really frustrating to be honest, hope the future OSSC Pro will be more plug and play and more “noob” friendly.

      Stay safe !

        Hi,

So i contacted Robert from RGC and he has no clues at all (but he only ask me if i have profiles on my OSSC), could it be due to the low voltage sent to the PCBs, because the retroelectronik works and he always send about 5,01 volts to the PCBs ?

My TV is a Sony 40W705C, and yes i’ve tried the tweaks with no success, i can’t use FirebrandX profiles as well, my NeoGeo AES and MVS doesn’t work but even in 2X the results are wayyyyyyy better than nothing, i will certainly change for a LG 65C9V later this year and day one purchase OSSC Pro.

And to be sure i’ve just connect my old retroelectronik supergun and it works.

Edit : I’ve just reconnect the sigma and i have no sound again, maybe a problem with the scart cable ?

                Hi,

I’ve bought this cable about a month ago and it’s working very well with the OSSC, but as my TV is not “OSSC friendly” i only test it with the basic settings so i can’t tell if it handles correctly all the options disponible.
By the way this component cable have built-in GCVideo software so you have already some scaling/scanlines options (and you can use the OSSC remote to access them) so maybe you won’t need to connect it to the OSSC for a basic usage.

Hope it helps, hav a nice day and stay safe !

                  Hello all,

A little update, a super cool guy from youtube made a test with the same setup as mine (except the tv but i’ve tried with a lg tv but that doesn’t work) and it’s working without any specific settings, so i’m really confused to be honest, here is the link to the video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2y8o_zyzGM&feature=youtu.be

Thanks in advance for your concerns and stay safe !

So I’ve tried to mess with sync opt setting but there’s no change at all, what bothers me is that i find a lot of videos showing sigma superguns hooked to an ossc that works, plus the fact that even the “infamous” retroelectronik supergun works also, I know that my TV is not really “ossc friendly” but even with the neo geo i’ve got a message telling me that it doesn’t support this signal.

Yes, this the scart cable I use, ok I will try the sync threshold setting and let you know, thanks for your advice.

                        Hi,
Thanks for your quick answer, it’s seems that’s the case, as the supergun use a meanwell mwp-602 as psu and the retrogamingcables scart cable is “OSSC compatible” according to the product description.

                          Hello,

Thanks for your answer but if the problem come from the monitor, how can you explain the fact that when I hook a ps3 to the same monitor, with the same adapter and hdmi cable I don’t have any audio problem ?

To be sure I also hook a dreamcast directly in VGA and no problem with audio so far.
