The elusive 3DO RGB mod is now available for most 3DO consoles through our store. Finally you can enjoy high quality RGB output with your 3DO console, no more S-Video or composite. This mod is ideal for use with an OSSC or XRGB Mini, a must have for 3DO fans with HDTVs!
Our 3DO mod service uses the latest design kits from Black Dog Technology. Each kit is 100% genuine and purchased directly from Dan/Black Dog Tech in the United States. If you choose the option above we will also provide you with a high quality RGB SCART cable. If you prefer to make your own or have your favourite cable supplier make them, then please note that the kits use an 8-pin mini-din connection. Retro Access sell these cables here, while Retro Gaming Cables stock them here.
The price above also includes the perfect 240p modification. Unlike previous versions of this mod, the 240p mod included here will always switch perfectly to 240p and can be left enabled even when starting the console up if desired. Furthermore, the new version of the mod also correctly centres the image for perfect trouble free RGB gaming every time.
Please note that the late Panasonic FZ-10 and Goldstar GDO-202 model 3DO consoles contain the revised ANVIL video chip which does not output 24bit digital RGB and cannot be modded for analogue RGBS at this time. The only way to know for sure if your console has this particular chip is to open it and check. We can check any console you send in but if you send an incompatible model we will unfortunately still have to charge you for return shipping.
