4K video scaling for everyone
4K video scaling no longer needs to break the bank! Introducing Morph 4K, a personal 4K upscaler built around cutting edge next generation features while delivering excellent value for money.
The Morph 4K converts low resolution HDMI sources (up to 1080p input), to 4K HDMI at 60hz and 4:4:4 colour resolution. Out of the box the base unit has HDMI input and HDMI output. Need more inputs? Simply add an expansion card. Expansion cards can change the role of the Morph in your setup and add features based on your needs. Add in the Analogue Bridge expansion module for high quality composite, s-video, SCART, component and VGA support. Alternatively, make the Morph 4K the central hub for all your video routing and processing with the Analogue-Digital Crosspoint expansion module (coming soon), which has both analogue inputs AND outputs allowing you to simultaneously scale analogue/digital inputs to both analogue and digital video outputs.
Process the image the way YOU want to. Go for razor sharp pixels or a softer, more CRT like look. Apply smoothing filters and/or scanlines and even simulated shadow or slot masks, the choice is yours. With support for colour corrected HDR, you can really make the image pop on a modern display.
Instant upgrade
The Morph 4K is perfect to give your current setup the visual boost it needs, without having to waste your current hardware’s capabilities. Drop the Morph directly into your current setup behind your existing scaler with minimal changes to switching and routing. Then, use it to re-scale your current HDMI devices natively to 4K, or downscale modern games for a Retro Demake effect. Get the best bang for your buck 4K scaling with devices you already own, including:-
- OSSC Classic or Pro – OSSC is a perfect match for Morph thanks to its pass-through mode
- Console HDMI mods: Retro G.E.M. (Gamecube, Nintendo 64, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Dreamcast etc.), GCVideo, XboxHD etc.
- RetroTINK 5x-Pro, GBS-C scaler, XRB-Mini Framemeister
- MiSTer FPGA
- Analogue – Pocket, Mega SG, Super NT, NT Mini
- Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch
Morph is a fantastic upgrade option for owners of the OSSC Classic. Re-use your OSSC to connect your retro consoles directly to the Morph by setting OSSC to pass-through mode and simply connecting the digital video output of the OSSC directly to the HDMI input on the Morph. This makes Morph a superb value for money solution for existing OSSC owners.
Cutting edge features
The Morph 4K isn’t just about high quality video features, it also contains useful modern features including onboard WiFi, Bluetooth and SD card support. Updates and also profiles can be delivered easily over WiFi, while powerful control of the Morph 4K can be done on a PC or mobile phone through the web Interface. Using the web Interface you can also export/import and rename profiles and access design tools like the slot mask creator, which can do live mask creation/editing.
If connected to a console with Game-ID support (such as a Retro GEM modded PlayStation 1) you can show off your game-play status on apps like Discord. When used with a Retro GEM equipped console or other compatible device, you can communicate non-video information like Game-ID for per game settings or use the console controller to navigate the Morph 4K menu. You can also use the Morph 4K to control Retro GEM video settings automatically. PixelFX are currently looking into extending Game-ID support to non Retro GEM devices as well, with support now also available on the Xbox HD Stellar. For a full list of platforms with support implemented or planned for GameID, click here.
The SD card can be used for profiles, updating and other extended file support. The device also comes with a USB-A serial peripheral control port, this allows the device to better integrate into your setup by being able to communicate with future switching devices like the Infinity Switch (coming soon).
Not just for retro consoles
Unhappy with the scaling results on your Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck or other modern device? Wish that retro-styled game could have proper scanlines and shadow masks? With the Morph4k’s pre-scaling options, now you can take control of the software’s scaling and fix many problems and issues with the softwares native scaling output. Add post-processing effects to games on PC or console without need of cumbersome or complex software mods and without adding significant input lag.

Satisfaction guarantee
As with the OSSC, we’re extending our satisfaction guarantee to the Morph too. Try the Morph in your setup and, if it doesn’t work well or you aren’t satisfied with the results, return it within 30 days for a no quibble refund. All that we ask is that you return the unit and all its packaging in good condition and that you cover the return postage costs.
Don’t take our word for it!
