Now you can upgrade your classic Neo Geo console to HDMI video and audio output making it fully compatible with modern displays. Purchase this product then send us your AES console and we will professionally upgrade it with a digital video output port. The price includes the digital video upgrade board, installation and testing.

Play the entire Neo Geo software library in lossless, noise free digital video and audio, using 100% authentic Neo Geo hardware. No emulation or FPGA recreation, all signals are generated by the console and only processed by the upgrade board. Both audio and video are processed entirely digitally from the consoles motherboard, ensuring the cleanest possible digital signal with no intermediate analogue conversion whatsoever.

To make this upgrade possible we use the CPS2 digital board with a specially modified firmware for full Neo Geo compatibility. The CPS2 digital board is like a custom OSSC scaler for your console. The board line multiplies the output from the AES to ensure razor sharp scaling and no input lag. The board has a 40 line buffer that, while only raising input lag slightly, can scale the units output into perfect, standard HDTV/Monitor resolutions of up to 1080p or 1200p. This ensures that the product should not suffer the occasional compatibility issue that the OSSC has, even at higher resolutions.

A full on-screen display/menu is available which allows you to set the output resolution, scanlines and other options easily. A picture of this menu is shown below:-

For users who already have scalers with digital inputs, such as a Morph 4K or OSSC Pro, a pass through mode is available. This mode will digitise the audio and video only without applying scaling of any kind, allowing your external scaler to handle all the picture processing.

The consoles native analogue video output is not affected by this mod and is still available if needed.
