Thanks to the unique design of the Sega Saturn, we may never get a pure digital video upgrade for the console. However, it is possible to add a digital audio upgrade. Purchase this service and send us your Sega Saturn console and we will supply and fit a TOSLINK output to your classic console. TOSLINK digital audio ensures completely noise free, perfect quality audio output from your console at all times.

Even premium RGB cables often carry a small amount of noise in the analogue audio, so this upgrade is well worth doing especially for gamers with high end audio setups in their gaming room. Note that a compatible amplifier/receiver, video scaler or DAC (digital to analogue converter) is required in order to use TOSLINK. The OSSC Pro, The Morph 2K and Morph 4K all support digital audio input.

The TOSLINK port will be located as shown in the picture, this positioning ensures full compatibility with cartridges and also with the Satiator optical drive emulator. Alternatively if you prefer a no-cut mod, you may supply a Sega Saturn TOSLINK SPDIF battery door with your console and that will be used instead.
