All Triple Bypass installations done by BetaGamma computing will now use version 2 Triple Bypass boards.

The Sega Megadrive/Genesis Triple Bypass board is a audio and video mod for your Megadrive/Genesis console. Originally developed by retro console wizard DB Electronics, this new, open source and community developed version of the mod brings more improvements to an already excellent design.

The board combines two popular modifications. Firstly, it is an RGB bypass mod with a THS7374 video amplifier which improves and updates the consoles RGB amplifier for the cleanest, crispest RGB possible. Secondly, the board also includes the popular “Mega Amp” mod to clean up the consoles often muddy audio. This can significantly improve the audio quality on many Megadrive 2 & 3 consoles which suffer from poor audio output. Now you can have perfect audio and video quality from your Megadrive 2 console!

Note – Installing a Triple Bypass board into a Megadrive/Genesis 1 console will change the output from 8 pin DIN to 9 PIN mini-DIN, meaning you will require a Sega Megadrive/Genesis 2 RGB cable.

If you require additional audio output options (e.g RCA or 3.5mm at the back of the console for connecting directly to an audio system) please contact us first to discuss this.
