USB Charger for Gameboy Color – DIY Kit

Modernise your classic Game Boy Color console and extend battery life by adding this handy USB charger kit from JOVEMA Technologies/Mcwill, the same innovator who brought you the fantastic Game Gear and Atari Lynx replacement screens.

Once installed, you can recharge your Game Boy console* using any USB 5 Volt charger with a Mini USB connector. Juice up your little handheld while working on your PC, or use a USB phone charger. No more dealing with AA batteries or antiquated, bulky recharge packs.

The kit contains one USB charger PCB and pin header.

* Note – Requires 1 x 14500 rechargeable battery. We recommend LiPo batteries with a protection circuit. Due to WEEE regulations we are unable to supply batteries with this kit. Not all 14500 batteries are rechargeable, please double check before using/charging!

Safe to use with flash-carts – but please remember the Gameboy will not indicate when the battery charge is low, so be careful if swapping/re-flashing games on the go.
