I went to plug my OSSC in, apparently the power cable had come out when i was organizing my computer area. so i went to plug the power cable into the OSSC and the little LED flashed white and then went blank. now it wont turn on at all!

Did you accidentally connect the wrong psu?

i actually think that IS what happened. my ext hdd has a similar plug. and it fits right into the OSSC!
so its likely i got my chords mixed. well, now with the actual OSSC’s PSU, it still wont turn on 🙁
the ext hdd psu says it has a 12v output, idk if thats worth noting

Yeah unfortunately you fried it that voltage is way too high 🙁

Well damn. There’s no way to repair it? No worries if not. I appreciate the outreach 🙁

Of course it’s repairable. You most likely fried some of the voltage regulators:

OSSC 1.7 – Plugged in wrong PSU

                Short between C95,C18 and C10

                OSSC 1.6 Not Turning on?

Accidentally plugged in to a 12v adapter, won’t boot

                Accidentally plugged 12V – Burned?

If you bought your OSSC over VGP you may be able to send it in for repair (‘BuckoA51’ can tell you more about that). If you you’ve built your OSSC yourself or bought it elsewhere you’ll have to repair it yourself.

Well the good news is I DID in fact buy it through VGP. And if sending it in for repair is an option, I’d love to do that! Bc I am not so tech savvy.
