I think you need to try these settings: http://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php?title=Neo_Geo_AES

To rule out the RGB cable, disconnect the RGB cable and try to connect the Yellow RCA out to the green input of AV2. You should get sync like that.

I’ll put the CSYNC mod through again and see how it goes.

          for CSYNC it’s super dark…

            Nice that its working now.

Looking at the datasheet of the Sony CXA 1645P encoder, there is only a CSYNC in pin and not out so just wiring it without a buffer/amp to the DIN connector is not recommended/guaranteed to work.

If its only dark with CSYNC then you could be damaging the encoder by using CSYNC so I would recommend to use the Luma sync instead. With luma sync you have the same quality video as with CSYNC.

Yea you don’t need the resistor with Luma because it already has the correct voltage level.

                  Hey cheeseman,

This is a very old post and I guess you already found the solution, this happened to me as well and it was solved by tweaking two settings on the OSSC:

                  Sync OPT. > H-PLL Post-Coast 2 lines
Sync OPT. > Hsync Tolerance 8.30us

                  Hope that helps.
