So far it seems to be the case.
When I run my SNES, Saturn, N64, and Dreamcast (VGA) from the OSSC to the Tendak to the CRT Monitor, I get no issues
Either its an OSSC issue or the Tendak doesn’t like the NES timings. When I run the NES to the OSSC straight to the Plasma TV, I get no issues.
December 16, 2018 at 4:44 AM in reply to: HD Fury Gamer Edition (version 1) – Enough power in OSSC? #24385Did you ever try the HDFURY Game Edition with the OSSC? If so, how did it do?
I think it may be the Tendak. I took everything downstairs and hooked it up to my Plasma TV.
First test was OSSC -> Tendak -> Victsing VGA to HDMI adapter -> TV
Color sucks, the issue is still thereSecond test was OSSC -> TV
No issue. Color and quality looks greatAnd that’s why I don’t use Xrgb3’s either. Those were the first units i ever owned, and had nothing but problems with them. I’ve had 6 xrgb2 and pluses with never a problem.
Is this what you are referring to?
Also, is there a guide for reprogramming the chip you can send me? Thanks
I’m probably going to drop the OSSC altogether. I’ve had 2 units fail on me (for different reasons) in the past week out of the 11 total I have bought. One was less than 6 months old and had less than 24 hours on it and the other was brand new with no use at all. The 6 month old one is going to cost over $100 and at least a month to fix.
That high of a failure rate and cost of service is just unacceptable for what the units cost and what I am trying to do. I’ve streamed/captured over 100 hours and traveled over 10k miles with my old XRGB2 units and no issues at all. While the video quality of the OSSC is unmatched, the poor quality control of it is just not acceptable.
Crap. How much is that going to cost? And who can repair it in the US? I’d rather not ship it overseas. Or can I just order one myself and solder it or just it require programming?
So the Emotia will work fine for the Dreamcast and 360, just not the PS2? What would I need for the PS2 with 240[/480i transition issues? A VSC?
Another update. I received HD Retrovision cables for the SNES and still had the same issues, so it looks like the OSSC is just not friendly to the VisionAV. I received some E1’s and the SNES and OSSC work fine
Ok another update. I copied the settings used by FBX in his SNES Optimal timings video and came up with an interesting issue.
When I follow his settings, the picture does not show up when Line4x is set to 256×240. It will show up in 4:3, but it does lose signal every 10 seconds or so.
This is at 720p60. Scanlines on
What are your ossc setting for the snes and n64 using the E1?
No DVI mode does not make a difference.
I also keep getting inconsistent refresh rates with the SNES with the same game. Sometimes its 15.73khz 60.05hz. I turned it off over night and tried it this morning and got 15.74khz 60.08hz. It will work fine in 2x mode, but when I change it to any other mode, the video goes out. I can get up to 5x mode through the capture card for the N64, but its just so blurry.
When I chain it to my XRGB2-Plus (which seems to be the only solution right now), I get 31.46khz 60.05hz.
I have also tried switching out Scart cables from the CSYNC cable to the Luma Scart with no luck.
I fixed the PS2 issue. Didn’t realize it doesn’t work with RGB. You have to set everything to YPbPr. Now back to the Snes/64 issues
