Well PCBs like Mortal Kombat won’t sync to the TV, but the OSSC should still lock them in, right? I have a few PCBs that won’t even sync with the OSSC, not the TV itself.
So I’m wondering if this mod would help with that.
I’m happy with my current OSSC but what specific arcade PCBs will this improve compatibility with? I’m willing to test, but don’t want to do the mod unless there is something it (and I) can help with.
Thanks Bucko, but am I getting no sync? The green light was on!!! Hmm, so can anyone else with an FX-1B board just confirm what AV input you are using and if it’s working?
On another forum Marqs has said not likely this year due to delays. Hopefully early next year, with this year being testing and development.
I’d love to be told this is no longer the case and it’s coming soon though!
So many people have problems because they load the wrong firmware and lose sound, have you considered naming the main one the version number “FWxx” and the non-audio one, “FWxx OSSC 1.5 and older”. I know it’s clear to the regulars here, but it seems to happen a lot!
Other than that, great update and thanks for keeping them coming!
No, I don’t think an OSSC 2 is in the planning right now…. but it COULD be! 😛
Yeah the rotation of a stand is easiest for sure, but with the FM going out of service life and the OSSC doing pretty much all it can at this point (I know there are some more features marqs is still working like OSD, but still), it might be time to look toward the future?
I mean, my OSSC is not going anywhere, believe me, it’s amazing, but there’s no reason not to look at the next gen of possibilities.
Bucko, is this something that can be worked into the OSSC 2? I mean, obviously it adds lag, but I think the community could definitely use a sequel to the OSSC and the Frameister that has these types of features.

Any settings that might allow my TV to display it?
What if I bought an EGA to VGA device, like this thing:
Sweet, does this mean it will eventually make it in the official fw?
Sonick,
Thanks for looking into this. What a bummer, that would have been an amazing feature to have! I wonder if anyone has done it for VR glasses yet? The Sony PSVR takes a HDMI in/out, could the system be pushed to it and the image split in two halves of the screen?
Just got my OSSC and not super happy with my SNES (only does 3x mode and has bad bleed) so I’m hoping this update helps.
Can anyone explain how to update the OSSC with just a Mac? I don’t have access to Windows to do so. Thanks!
By the way, the OSSC looks GREAT for the Neo Geo, just not my multi-chip SNES. My 1-chip SNES has TERRIBLE color problems, so I don’t know what’s up with it…
So the last 100 people from batch 2 are now in batch 3? If that is the case, will we get ours sent first in case there is some sort of other delay?
Bucko, I’m sure I’m in the last 100 group, since I ordered when the site said there were only about a 100 left, so I’m pretty sure I missed out on the early group. My question is, when will the 100 get their orders shipped? Has that group been delayed? Thanks!
PS I did order with a remote and PSU if that makes a difference.
