Breathe new life into your classic Sega Game Gear hand held with this dazzling new, cutting edge IPS LCD replacement. Replacing the dated original LCD with this new, vibrant model will make playing Game Gear games a lot more fun, thanks to increased brightness, contrast, picture sharpness and improved battery life. Furthermore, with the HDMI version of the kit, you can enjoy your Game Gear on the big screen too!

This is a premium replacement screen for your classic Sega Game Gear console with a superbly clean, perfectly scaled image that fits the native resolution of the console perfectly. There is no shimmer or tearing whatsoever. BennVenn sceens are the ONLY kits with no screen tearing on moving images!

Perfect scaling is not the only upgrade this new screen offers. You can now configure the advanced features of the screen using an on screen menu display. This menu allows you to adjust scanlines and post processing effects and configure scaling and output modes. Sega Master System games are also supported (using a suitable converter or flash cart). The screen also has extremely low power consumption, no more needing huge packs of AA batteries on those long journeys!

Note, this is a complex, intricate upgrade. Please study the fitting instructions carefully and only order if you’re completely confident that you can carry out the upgrade. We cannot offer refunds for kits damaged due to incorrect installation, nor can we offer technical support for installation of this upgrade.

Please make sure your Game Gear is in good working order before installing this upgrade. If the existing LCD is faint or can only be seen at an angle, you must replace the systems capacitors, otherwise performance from the replacement LCD will not be satisfactory. There are various guides on-line on how to do this or we can perform the repair for you here.
