PixelFX brings you the very first true, pure digital video output upgrade for the legendary PlayStation 2 console. Order this upgrade and ship us your PlayStation 2 console (note, not all models are supported, see this page for more information) and we will supply, professionally install and test this amazing upgrade.

We use PixelFX’s GEM board for this upgrade. More information here. The version supplied with your console will be GEM Basic, with the option to upgrade to GEM Shiny at any time.

Once installed, you can play PlayStation 2 on any HDTV and get the crispest, most noise free image possible from the classic machine. With the basic board you can connect directly to a next generation video scaler (PixelFX Morph 4K, OSSC Pro or RetroTINK 4K) with pass-through mode. Alternatively, upgrade to the GEM Shiny edition to unlock motion adaptive deinterlacing and up to 1440p output directly on the console, no external scaler needed. Pay only for the features you need, that’s the beauty of the Retro GEM.

Compatibility

This upgrade is compatible with the following model PS2 consoles. To find out which model you have, just look for the number on the sticker on the back of the console.
