Make your Saturn region free with this custom BIOS chip. Once installed, Saturn games from any region will boot instantly. No messing with cartridges, no ugly external switches and no cycling through different coloured LEDs. Please note this upgrade does not defeat copy protection, only original games (from any region) will boot.

This upgrade includes the supply and fitting of the region free BIOS chip only. If you’re interested in playing NTSC (American or Japanese) games on your PAL (European) Saturn, or PAL games on your NTSC Saturn, you should buy our Sega Saturn Full Region Free upgrade instead.

Model 1 console owners:- Certain very early model 1 consoles have socketed EPROM chips for their BIOS, if we find this to be the case in your Saturn we will offer you a substantial discount on the price of fitting the region free BIOS.
