Project Stellar is an Xbox upgrade like no other that has come before. Stellar boasts unprecedented capabilities without effecting or compromising the performance of the Xbox console itself. The upgrade is based around an FPGA with 8MB of RAM, onboard flash memory, and numerous IO connectors for future expansion.

Stellar comes equipped with its own operating system which runs independently of the Xbox’s own software. The OS can be accessed by pressing “Start” during the boot animation. The Stellar OS dashboard will then appear and offers access to all of Stellar’s available features.

Purchase this upgrade and send us your original Xbox console and we will supply and professionally fit the Stellar upgrade. This upgrade is for users who just want the Stellar upgrade and not the HDMI upgrade. Generally, we recommend the HDMI upgrade for all users, even those with analogue setups, as using Xbox HD+ with a digital to analogue converter (DAC) produces the best image. Full pass through modes/options are now available on the latest Stellar/Xbox HD firmware, so no functionality is lost when using HDMI and a DAC. The choice is yours however, and if you prefer to keep the consoles original analogue video port instead, this is the service for you.

FAQ

Q: My Xbox is already jailbroken/modified, will anything be affected?

A: We will need to reinstall a custom dashboard. MakeMhz recommends LithiumX but we recommend XBMC4Gamers. We offer no technical support with dashboards. We cannot install or reinstall any other software, any further customisations are up to you.

We strongly recommend backing up your entire system before sending it to us. Every effort will be made to preserve your data, however please remember the hard drives in Xbox consoles are now very old. Simply writing or changing data on an older hard drive can cause data corruption, so please back up anything important as soon as possible.

Please note – Xbox consoles often require servicing and replacement capacitors. We cannot carry out this upgrade on hardware that has underlying defects. If we find your Xbox has faults like this we will contact you and let you know the cost of the repair.
