Sorry if this has been answered already, but I did the mod to my 1.6 board — when I upload the 1.12 firmware i get the test screen, but I just get a black screen when I switch to my input source (SNES through SCART). I used the only Line2x Output in case my screen couldn’t handle the new options. When I go back to FW 0.9 everything works as normal. Maybe I messed up the mod? Looks pretty cleanly soldered to me.
UPDATE: Turns out I’m terrible at instructions and soldered to the wrong pin. In case this helps someone here’s a photo showing both sides in the same picture. Also, I used 30 gauge wrapping wire — nice and neat.
I also have a blank Chunghop L336, and another remote which communicates fully with the OSSC (although it’s short a few buttons). When I try to teach the L336 from my other remote, I can only teach the power, pause, play, stop, and eject buttons on the L336. All other buttons don’t work. To make sure I’m doing this right (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4E6lm0wLxQ0), I try programming the same command (e.g. OSSC menu, or LCD on/off) into all Chunghop buttons. Only the few buttons mentioned above work.
I had this same issue. I was able to run OSSC with my SNES and an Optoma HD26 (1080p) projector by setting the OSSC to line 4x mode. No other modes would work.
That said, the image does give an annoying black flash in the top 1/6th of the screen every few seconds. Not sure why.
