If this is normal I think if there were profiles for each input I could route the neo geo via av3 so it has its own set of custom settings.
Do we know when profiles will be available?
After a bit of testing it seems that I can’t get a situation where one problem does not replace another. It seems that adjusting the h-pll post coast 2+ which is required to straighten the top of the screen on neo geo causes snes to intermittently desync for a split second ever now and then. is this a bug or something that can be worked out?
Hey it works!
Thanks for putting this together
I it works as low as 8.30us on the MV-1FZ
All my consoles now work 100% now
Thank you marqs!
All right! I’m glad you didn’t give up on it. Thanks for all your effort Marqs.
Any estimate on when it would be available.
Also, for all the tech heads out there, what turned out to be so different to cause this issue?
Thanks for the update. Id be happy to test any beta firmware for mine while you develop a fix.
My unit is a MV-1FZ so hopefully it’s the same sync as the unit you are now testing
Keep it up. I’m sure we will get there
So I bought and sync strike to try that and it still didn’t work.
I have a spare MVS 1FZ unit I can send to marqs as long as it will be returned. Someone else will have to provide a supergun to hook it up via Scart though.
No game is actually needed as the system boots into a test mode when no game is connected.
Let me know if you want me to send it over
It’s the ossc then, my mvs works on CRT, bvm, framemeister and to directly.
I have tried putting a 470ohm resistor on the sync line but it makes no difference. I’m hoping a firmware update will sort it out eventuallyI have the same problem with my MVS. I just says no sync
I suspect it is because neo geo have a non standard refresh rate. Yours will be too high and mine too low. I don’t know what the fox is for that. I have tried to find info on overclocking the gpu by 1% to bring it in line, but can’t find anything and it shouldn’t be necessary
Can marqs please take a look at neo get for the next update?
I can do but I would need to find a Scart to VGA cable to test that. Everything else I have runs via the Scart except the Wii which is component
So I solved most of the issues following the advice from this thread. The picture aspect was wrong on my tv.
Everything looks FANTASTIC. Except I still cannot get the mvs to play, even when trying marqs settings or playing around with othersIt’s a neogeo mvs-1FZ with unibios etc. It works on CRT and framemeister no problem.
Once I get that going, I’m selling all my CRT. No joke. My framemeister is already history
1. I don’t think it’s the to with the mvs. I have no problem when using Scart direct or previously through my framemeister. Is is also fine on a CRT. Maybe it’s a bug
2. The rolling effect is only really visible in motion. A screenshot does not pick it up. Castlevania IV when walking past the gates makes it really visible.
3 I’ll try that. Thanks
