Glad you found a solution. I came into this thread expecting a little action on pixel edge boundaries and was shocked by the amount of random crawl.
@RTStu
The LG should be very similar to 43UK6500AUA, link on first page.
The TCL should be very similar to the S405, which has several reviews for different sizes on the first page.Requesting tests for two budget models if anyone has them:
LG 43UM6910PUA
Thanks! Not sure which one I’m going to go with – they’re both dirt cheap right now. Any suggestions?
I would recommend using an HDMI to Component converter when pairing the RetroTINK with the OSSC. I have tried several HDMI to VGA converters, and the results were always unstable (with a lot of noise/movement on pixel edge boundaries). Because AV3 has limited LPF options, using AV2 for signals being passed through the OSSC is a better fit.
For AV3, I use a breakout cable to connect my 6th gen consoles via component – their output is a lot less prone to noise.

TCL 43S425
Both are dirty-cheap on Best Buy right now.
I would try using a Gameshark to disable the AA blur and see if it’s closer to your liking afterwards…
Just wanted to report back and mirror what’s been said before about the USB3HDCap. Not as elegant and user-friendly as the Elgato, but it definitely supports capture of 960p from 2 x 480p and 4 x 240p, which the ElgatoHD refused to recognize. Is there a way to jailbreak the Elgato software into recognizing another capture card?
Hmmm. I wonder if a color Switch option would work to reverse the color issues of running a RetroN 3-in-1 adapter with GG games on a Genesis?
I also lost my VGP account with this change and had to create a new one.
