        Hey Marqs,

I don’t have a sync strike. I will see if I can get someone to scope it for me though.

        Cheers.

            Hey Marqs,

I will have to check. My AES has a uni-bios installed. I am using a scart cable that came with my unit.
Will provide more details when I get home. Anything you can recommend I try?

            TIA!

Ok, so it jumps all over the place.

              AV1: RGBS 264p, 263p, 400i, 576p etc
              15.71-3kHz 59.56Hz-7862Hz

NO SYNC jumps up a few times too. Happy to send the vid if you want of the input changing all the time.
I tried increasing the hsync as above but still get the same result. 🙁

                Hey marqs,

Sorry I should of recorded what the output was. I am getting Sync now but it isn’t asn’t jumping around as much as it was.
I tried increasing the hsync tolerance beyond 9.5us (as far as I could go too) but still made no difference. 🙁
The image pops up sometimes. I will get the details for you ASAP.

                Thanks again.

Nope no joy on 0.73 adjusting those values 🙁

Sweet, I just updated to 0.72 and my Neo-Geo AES started to flicker images on the screen ever so briefly. I will give this a go now! 🙂
                    Thanks Marqs!

I am using an old cable (no idea where it came from) works fine on my trinitron.
The model Sega is a MK-80200-03

                        Thanks.

                          Thanks Marqs,

I wonder if this is the same issue the AES has. *fingers crossed*

                          Cheers.

                            Hi Lukemcc,
I am curious to know the schematic for your AES Scart cable, my sync is all over the place for my AES and I was thinking it could be due to a cheap scart cable, maybe there are no caps etc on the RGB or Sync wire? I will bust it open tomorrow to take a look.

                            Cheers.

Just opened up the SCART leads for my megadrive and saturn.
The Saturn has no caps on the RGB lines. Or the composite (getting sync from this line). I will add some caps tomorrow to see if that helps with the picture.
The Megadrive pins are loose and look like they are touching inside the scart connector so I will put some heat shrink around them and try to glue some in place so they don’t move about.

Still no clue about the AES though :/

                                Hey Paul,

Tested what you suggested for the AES but it didn’t work. Tried tinkering with a few other things too but had no joy 🙁

My sega megadrive cable keeps losing sync too I think the scart connector might be a little dodgy.
Tried to fix the sega saturn image (jumpy with purple band at the top) but had little success.
The Dreamcast worked without the Toro, I will test with the Toro when I have a scart lead (can’t find any around the house).

                                  Thanks Paul,
Time to start modding all the things then I guess.
I will play around with the AES today.

                                  Cheers.
