Is this new firmware able to support VGA (720×400, etc) to 1440p @ 70 Hz using pixel repetition?

Any possibility of 480×3 resolution? (ie. DOS VGA -> 1440p)
June 30, 2023 at 9:40 PM in reply to: Can the OSSC or DExx simulate a shadow mask oraperture grille? (re: VGA monitor) #57340Thanks for the reply and the information. Maybe there will be enough users so that you could consider implementing it.
Regardless — I have one other quick question…
I’m trying to use 1200p output (which I know is out-of-spec/unsupported) from my VGA monitor to my LCD.
The OSSC has two options in “384/400p proc”: Line3x Generic and Line3x 240×360. However, if I select either mode then the ‘400p in sampler’ options do not work. Is this intended? If I use Line2x then both sampler options work correctly.
My goal is to try and display VGA 640X400 and 720×400 at 1200p.
Thanks for any help!
June 16, 2023 at 3:02 PM in reply to: Can I use the 20×2 LCD with the DExx? Also, any 3D printable cases? #57236Thanks again for the information. It sounds like you are saying the 20×2 is the better LCD but might not fit correctly with the DE10-Nano attached.
Also, it looks like New Haven discontinued the white color in both the 16×2 and 20×2 versions which is unfortunate.
Thanks very much. I’ve performed the modification and updated successfully. I’ll run a few tests in the next few days.
Does this firmware improve compatibility with DOS PCs?
I also have a DExx board but I usually don’t have it connected to the DE10-Nano because I’m using MiSTer with dual SDRAM. However, I’ve been searching for the best way to convert VGA/SVGA (DOS) to my 1440p monitor (at 70 Hz).
If anybody has any other advice, info, or experiences with this please let me know!

Hopefully Marqs can confirm since he mentioned the 16×2 only being used because the 20×2 wasn’t available at the time and that the 16×2 does cut-off some characters due to it being too small.

Is it possible to have the GBP output its native rate? It sounds like HDcustom is close but still not the same rate?
August 6, 2020 at 8:58 PM in reply to: What are Optimal GameCube GBIHF settings when using RGB SCART? #40390What is the difference between “HD60” and “HDCustom” ? I’m trying to read the documentation but the –format options is only described as “Set video format”.
@marqs, any update on this?
Being to send commands (and receive status updates) over UART would be incredibly useful. You could then see the current OSSC status without needing to see the small LCD screen. It would also be extremely helpful in home automation setups.
Yeah I did try all the way down to one and it didn’t work. Anything else I can try?
I’m trying to get my Panasonic TCP50GT25 plasma working with NES/SNES Line3x-5x but I’m not having any luck.
When I enable Line3x, I’ve tried going into Advanced Timings (960x240p) and setting V. Active Lines to 256 and V. Backporch to 6 but it didn’t help.
Is anything else I can try before thinking about the recent sync mod that marqs released?
